My Big Manly Hunter

I've never really liked guns. I've never thought much of the idea of hunting.

Then I met my husband.

While I'm still not sure how I feel about guns and hunting, I have learned a lot about what it really means to be a responsible firearms owner/operator and what hunting is all about. Now, I know good and well that there is a whole lot that I don't know about guns and hunting, but I have reached the point of being able to accept my husband's gun wielding and wild animal killing. Perhaps even beyond acceptance, I actually kind of like the fact that he hunts.

As silly as it may sound, I like that my husband is a big strong manly man who gears up with his dad and brothers, braves the dangerously low temperatures and fierce winds outside, and ventures out into the wilderness to try and bring down a big buck.

Maybe it goes back to some sort of primal urge of wanting my husband to be the "hunter-provider" for our family. Maybe I like having the house to myself while he's gone so that I can do my own girly things for a few hours. Or maybe it's because it's so much fun to watch him get dressed ;-)
